Earth Day, 22 April 2022

Please take some time today to think about Mother Earth and the changes we see occurring all around us. It’s critical to remember that Earth doesn’t need us to save her – humans need us to save ourselves. Earth will be here for billions of years into the future, but the existence of Homo sapiens is not so certain. 

Thanks to Carl Sagan, to NASA and the European Space Agency and to a lifetime of students, colleagues, friends, and family… I’ve learned more from you than you will ever know.
